Junior Librarian is a self service library system that allows children the freedom and independence to manage the day to day running of the library themselves. This system has been specifically designed for use in Primary schools.
The pupils act as librarians and really enjoy the responsibility of managing the system in their classes. Pupils have their own personalised library cards. They can issue themselves a book from the library by scanning their book and card. Then on completion of the book they scan it and return to to the library.
The Junior Librarian is excellent for promoting the reading of books and inspiring reluctant readers to borrow books.
